    India market snapshot

    India’s telecom market continued to show strong performance in the second half of 2024, with Jio leading the mobile segment across key metrics. Jio recorded the fastest overall mobile speeds in the country, achieving a Speed Score™ of 174.89. It also led in 5G performance, with a median 5G download speed of 258.54 Mbps. On the fixed broadband side, Excitel topped the charts with a median download speed of 117.21 Mbps. As demand for high-speed connectivity grows across India’s digital economy, providers are competing closely to deliver faster, more reliable service.

    Netherlands market snapshot

    The Netherlands saw standout mobile and fixed performance in the second half of 2024, with Odido leading the market across multiple key metrics. Odido was the fastest mobile provider overall, earning a Speed Score™ of 193.24 and delivering a median download speed of 196.33 Mbps. It also provided the best 5G and mobile video streaming experiences, alongside top-tier gaming performance. On the fixed broadband side, Odido and Delta Fiber stood out, Odido for streaming, and Delta Fiber for offering the best gaming experience. With strong performance across speed, streaming, and gaming, Odido continues to set the standard for connectivity in the Netherlands.

    Latin America

    Costa Rica market snapshot

    Costa Rica’s mobile market saw strong competition in the second half of 2024, with Claro leading in overall performance. Claro achieved a Speed Score™ of 78.92 and recorded the fastest median mobile download speed in the country at 72.03 Mbps, more than double the speeds of its closest competitors. Liberty stood out for network consistency, with 85.2% of its results meeting the minimum performance threshold. On a regional level, Heredia Province topped mobile performance with the fastest median download speeds, while San Jose led the fixed broadband category with a median download speed of 108.4 Mbps.

    Egypt market snapshot

    Egypt’s mobile market remained competitive in the second half of 2024, with We emerging as the top performer across key metrics. With a Speed Score™ of 42.20, We delivered the fastest median mobile download speed in the country at 32.93 Mbps, along with the highest upload speed and lowest latency among major providers. We also led in delivering the best mobile gaming and video streaming experiences, according to Speedtest Intelligence® data. Among Egypt’s most populous cities, Luxor stood out with the fastest median mobile download speed at 31.48 Mbps.

    U.S.A. and Canada

    Canada market snapshot

    Canada’s connectivity landscape remained strong in the second half of 2024, with Bell Mobility leading the mobile market across key performance metrics. Bell recorded a Speed Score™ of 104.34 and delivered the fastest 5G speeds in the country, with a median 5G download speed of 166.60 Mbps. On the fixed side, Bell pure fibre stood out as the top-performing ISP, achieving a median download speed of 332.26 Mbps. While Bell led on speed, Rogers offered the best 5G Availability, with 83.9% of users spending the majority of their time on 5G. Regionally, Newfoundland and Labrador posted the fastest fixed broadband speeds, highlighting ongoing improvements in network performance across Canada.
